A customer purchased a damaged ambulance with the intention of reusing the cab and chassis. Our team assisted with the removal of the ambulance box, carefully preserving its integrity and condition so it could be refurbished and remounted on a new chassis. In addition, we helped facilitate new ownership for the unit, ensuring it remained a valuable asset instead of being discarded.
We were notified of an issue with an onboard battery charger that was not properly charging or maintaining the vehicle’s batteries. During diagnosis, our team located a pinched ground wire caused by improper wire placement and lack of protection. The damaged wire left the charger inoperable. We replaced the plug and corrected the wiring, restoring the charger to full operation and ensuring the batteries remain properly maintained.
This unit was experiencing electrical issues that affected performance and reliability.
